Wizart has announced new deals at European Film Market for animated movies Sheep and Wolves and Urfin and His Wooden Soldiers.
Sheep and Wolves is set to hit cinemas in Turkey. BirFilm has acquired the title for the territory. Sheep and Wolves attracted interest of the market leaders long before the release: the feature has already been sold to over 30 countries. In April 2016 the feature will see a theatrical release in Russia, Middle East and Baltic States, followed up with summer releases in Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania.

We started closing deals for the movie while the feature was still in pre-production. We are sure that following the experts’ opinion the film will be perceived well by the global audience.’
Sheep and Wolves entered TOP Films to Look Out For in 2016 according to the leading media outlets including Cartoon Brew. At AFM 2015 Wizart announced the star cast for the film. Harry Potter’s Drako Malfoy, Tom Felton, Orange is the New Black’ Stella Karlin, breakout actress Ruby Rose and Disney TV Channel star China Anne McClain will portray main characters – Grey, Bianca and Lira. The storyline tells about a magical faraway land where lives a flock of carefree sheep. Their pastoral life is interrupted when a pack of wolves sets up camp in the nearby ravine. While sheep are trying to figure out how to live side by side with their new neighbors, wolves are about the choose a successor to their retiring leader. Wolf Grey is one of the candidates for the pack’s throne and Bianca’s heart.
The distribution rights for Middle East countries went to Shooting Stars. BestFilm has picked up Urfin and His Wooden Soldiers for the release in Baltic States. The film is set for premier in the fall 2016. Wizart Distribution is handling international sales for the feature.

Urfin, a troubled carpenter, discovers a magical powder that brings his creations to life. With an army of wooden soldiers, he captures the Emerald City. Ellie and her friends – the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the now-brave Lion – come to the rescue of the city dwellers.
